20th Annual Yellow Rose Classic Friday, August 7th – Move-In Day
Move in day is a very hectic and busy day and our goal is to make it as smooth as possible for all participants and vendors. The following will help everyone make the day more enjoyable.
If you drive your vehicle to the show: Please go directly to the underground parking garage. There, we will check your gas level and issue you a “boarding pass”. You can then wait upstairs (air conditioned!) for your number to be called. We should begin calling numbers around noon. This time is variable depending on several factors, so please be patient, and we will get you in as quickly as possible.
If you trailer your vehicle to the show: The preferred method is to unload your vehicle outside, take it to the underground garage, get a boarding pass, park your trailer in the secure lot, bring your display materials in, and then bring your vehicle in when we call your number. Some trailered vehicles will have made special arrangements with the show chairman to come in at a scheduled time. Please see the notification below.
If you have display materials: If you have some display materials in a companion or support vehicle, please go to the vehicle entrance door on the north side of the exhibit hall. We will get you to your spot where you can unload. To expedite the process for everyone, we ask that you unload, drive your support vehicle out, and then return to setup your display.
Please note: We may make arrangements with some participants and vendors due to special requirements such as trailer size or the amount of material that they need to bring in. For example, the AER rig (an 18-wheeler) gets to come in first for obvious reasons. We make every attempt possible to get people in on a first come first served basis. Your patience and understanding is appreciated. Since the entrance and exit doors to the exhibit hall are all on the north side of the building, we have to bring in the participants and vendors who have exhibit spots on the south side of the building first. Think of it as loading an airplane from back to front, the idea is to not have people tripping over each other. Again, your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
Hint: While there is a lot of activity all day on Friday, we usually have a “lull” from around 2 pm to 5 pm. If you can time your arrival during that time, there is usually not a long wait.
Hospitality Party: Dallas Mustang Parts and the North Texas Mustang Club host our annual hospitality pizza party on Friday evening. The pizza should be arriving around 6:30 pm and we will also provide refreshments. The food and beverages are complimentary. Please plan to join us and take a break from your busy setup activities. |
